Builder gel, Hybrid gel, Hard gel, and Acrylic are all structural nail enhancements, but they differ in consistency, flexibility, removal method, and ideal use cases.
Builder Gel
Definition: A structural gel applied over the natural nail but under gel color to add strength, shape, and durability.
Removal: Many are soak‑off (acetone) soft builder gels; some may require filing
Flexibility: Softer, more flexible than hard gel; designed for natural nail reinforcement rather than long extensions
Best for: Overlays, strengthening natural nails
Definition: A thick, putty‑like gel (often called Polygel) that combines the durability of acrylic with the flexibility of gel
Removal: File‑off only; not soak‑off
Flexibility: More flexible than hard gel but less than soft builder gel; holds shape well for sculpting.
Best for: Sculpting short to long extensions, on natural nails or tips
Hard Gel
Definition: A firm, non‑porous structural gel that creates a rigid, long‑wearing enhancement
Removal: File‑off only; acetone cannot penetrate
Flexibility: Rigid, high durability
Best for: Long extensions, natural nails & tips, clients wanting maximum strength, clients who use chemicals or wash hands a lot
Acrylic
Definition: Combines a liquid monomer with a powdered polymer to form a paste that is sculpted over the natural nail with tips and then hardens into a durable, protective layer
Removal: File-off or soak off
Flexibility: Rigid, its elasticity is limited
Best For: Short to long extensions with tips
Pedicures
Dry Pedicure
A better option when it comes to foot and nail services because they are more hygienic, reduce infection risk, improve polish longevity, and allow more precise foot care.
Your pedicure comes with the basics for toenail care (trimming, filing, cuticle care, exfoliation & polish of your choosing). You can also add on extra services to create the best pedi for you!
IT IS ILLEGAL TO CARE FOR INGROWN NAILS. IF YOU NEED HELP WITH INGROWN, PLEASE SEEK A PODITRIST I will not work on them.
